Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is looking for a faculty member (open rank) in the abdominal imaging division.
The role provides coverage of a level 1 trauma center and Baylor’s outpatient imaging center and involves interpreting gastrointestinal and genitourinary studies, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, plain films, and fluoroscopy. Light interventional procedures may be required. The position also offers opportunities for training residents and conducting research.
Flexible scheduling, including local and remote reading, is possible, with occasional weekend day coverage in the faculty call pool.
Responsibilities- Provide imaging coverage for a Level 1 trauma center and outpatient imaging center.
- Interpret gastrointestinal and genitourinary CT, MRI, ultrasound, plain films, and fluoroscopy studies.
- Perform occasional light interventional procedures.
- Train residents and fellows in abdominal/body imaging.
- Conduct research and contribute to academic activities.
- Participate in the faculty call pool, including weekend coverage.
- Use and contribute to radiomics and informatics initiatives (if interested).
- Read studies remotely as needed.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in radiology.
- Fellowship training in abdominal or body imaging.
- Strong clinical skills in GI and GU imaging modalities.
- Unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Interest in medical education and research.
- Strong professional and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and remotely.
Salary range and other benefits are available upon application. The position is exempt under FLSA and requires an unrestricted Texas medical license.
