Locum - Physician - General Medicine Houston, TX

Required Skills:

Valid medical license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields
Experience performing compensation and pension (C&P) exams or similar assessments
Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work independently and adhere to procedural guidelines

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience with VA or military health evaluations
Certification in medical assessment or related specialties
Familiarity with federal or government healthcare processes
Bilingual capabilities

Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine
Prior experience conducting C&P exams or similar assessments preferred but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

Must have a designated office within 50 miles of Houston or be willing to see Veterans at a VES facility (per diem option)
Willingness to complete credentialing and onboarding promptly
Ability to work flexible hours, including half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts
No travel reimbursement outside of local travel; certification costs not reimbursed
Availability to start on or around February 13, 2026

Hourly Pay Rate: $624.00
