We are looking for committed healthcare professionals to provide essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country. In this role, you will perform interview-based assessments with limited physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. You will have the flexibility to work on a PRN basis, with options for half or full-day shifts, allowing you to tailor your workload to your availability. No prescribing or treatment is involved, simplifying your workflow and focusing on vital evaluation services that support our nation's heroes.
Key
Skills:
- Medical license in good standing in Texas or eligible for licensing
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Experience with VA or disability evaluations preferred
- Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict guidelines
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Skills:
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams
- Knowledge of VA rules and procedures
- Certification in relevant specialties
- Ability to manage administrative follow-up efficiently
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in general medicine or related field
- Previous experience with veterans’ evaluations highly desirable
- Provider must have own office within 50 miles of Houston, TX (for those opting for office-based evaluations)
- Willingness to complete necessary credentialing and onboarding processes
- Availability to perform exams starting February 13, 2026
- Commitment to ongoing administrative follow-up (addendums, reports) within assigned rates
This role offers the flexibility of local travel reimbursement, with no overtime or holiday rates applicable.
