The facility operates as a 215-staffed bed hospital with Level III trauma designation. The hospital provides comprehensive emergency services and maintains a cardiac catheterization laboratory for interventional procedures. The facility requires specialized cardiothoracic coverage to support its trauma and emergency care capabilities.

The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical coverage for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures in the emergency department and cardiac catheterization laboratory. The position requires 24-hour call availability with a 1:2 call schedule and the ability to perform emergency vascular surgeries. The clinician must maintain board certification and hold an active Texas medical license. All surgical interventions must meet the facility's standards for emergency and urgent cardiac care.
