Are you a dedicated General Medicine provider seeking flexible, impactful work that supports our nation's Veterans? We are looking for committed physicians to join our team as a Locum – Physician - General Medicine, offering an exceptional opportunity to contribute to vital assessment services while enjoying competitive compensation and versatile scheduling.

As a key member of our team, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country, helping Veterans receive the benefits they deserve.

This role offers the flexibility to work on a PRN basis, with options for full or half-day shifts, tailored to your availability and preferences. Whether you prefer working in your own office within 50 miles of your home or at a VES facility, this role is designed to fit your lifestyle while making a meaningful impact.

Required Skills:

Medical degree (MD or DO) with licensure in Texas.

Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related fields.

Experience in general medicine and assessment-based care.

Ability to conduct interviews, physical exams, and range of motion testing.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Must be able to operate independently and adhere to protocols.

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams.

Knowledge of veterans’ healthcare needs.

Familiarity with medical reporting and documentation procedures.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Medical degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in primary care or related fields.

Experience with assessment exams or work with veteran populations is advantageous.

Other Requirements:

Candidate must have their own medical office within 50 miles of the specified locations (Gassaway, WV or Nutter Fort, WV).

Willingness to perform administrative follow-ups such as report writing and addendums.

No travel reimbursement; travel is included in the rate.

Ready to accept the rate structure of $800 per half-day (4 hours or less) and $1600 per full day (5 hours or more).

Completion of training and initial exams bonus of $650 applies.

Ability to work flexible hours, including 4-hour or 8-hour shifts.
