Overview
We are seeking qualified General Medicine Providers to deliver essential health assessments on a PRN basis through Veterans Evaluation Services, a Maximus company supporting Veterans Affairs. Whether working from your own office or remotely within a specified radius, you will conduct interview-based evaluations, physical assessments, and complete required documentation, ensuring timely and accurate reports. This flexible role is ideal for Physicians seeking part-time, ongoing engagements that align with your expertise and schedule.

Required Skills

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with current, unrestricted medical license in Indiana
  • Proven experience in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedics, or general medicine
  • Ability to perform and document Compensation & Pension examinations and health assessments
  • Comfort with interview-based evaluations and basic physical testing (range of motion, muscle strength)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in medical documentation and report submission
Nice to Have Skills
  • Prior experience with VA or government-sponsored assessments
  • Knowledge of disability evaluation procedures and certification processes
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms or remote assessment tools
  • Additional certifications in occupational or physical medicine
Preferred Education and Experience
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in General Medicine or related fields
  • Prior experience conducting disability or compensation examinations is advantageous
Other Requirements
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of designated locations or have your own office as specified
  • Willingness to work on a PRN basis, including partial or full days
  • Ability to complete exams and report submissions within designated time frames
  • Travel reimbursement included in rates for Providers working from their own office
  • No prior certifications or portal training reimbursement; complete required training to qualify

Hourly Pay Rate: $624.00
