Overview
We are seeking dedicated General Medicine Physicians to provide high-quality, interview-based Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Houston, TX. This PRN role is ideal for experienced providers looking to contribute to veteran care on a flexible basis. Whether working from your own office within 50 miles of Houston or at a VES facility, you will help evaluate the health and well-being of Veterans with professionalism and compassion.

Required Skills
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with licensure in Texas
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Ability to perform non-treatment, interview-based exams efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently in a flexible setting
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or Veterans’ healthcare evaluations
- Familiarity with documentation and report submission processes
- Experience in scheduling or managing visits at a private medical office
- Knowledge of veterans’ healthcare policies and procedures
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Active Texas medical license
- At least 1-2 years of clinical practice in family/internal medicine or related fields
- Prior background in veteran assessments or military medicine is advantageous
- Own or have access to a private medical office within 50 miles of Houston, TX
- Willingness to work on a PRN basis with flexible hours, including half-day or full-day shifts
- Must complete training and onboarding promptly; regulatory and certification requirements as specified by VES
- No reimbursement for certifications or portal training prior to start
- Ability to perform exams and submit reports efficiently within assigned rates
