Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment; CFA - Pediatrics - Patient Care

Overview

This clinical faculty position in the division of Pediatrics will:

• Spend the majority of clinical activity in the Inpatient Service and communicate with patients, family members, hospital staff and other faculty members within the Institution.
• Provide clinical expertise in patient care management with combined Pediatrics and General Internal Medicine and provide an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents and students.
• Be fully ambulatory with excellent bilateral manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, visual and auditory acuity to perform the job functions.
• Demonstrate emotional and psychological stability to manage patients and their families in a compassionate and positive manner.
• Participate in the development of clinical research studies and be independently responsible for new patient evaluations, initiation of appropriate referrals, and follow-up as appropriate.
• Deliver standard care across clinical procedures.

Work Location:

Onsite

• Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited medical school or equivalent.
• Completed an accredited pediatrics residency program.
• Completion of an accredited pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship is sought; applicants with a strong background in oncology are encouraged to apply.
• Board certified or board eligible in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
• Licensed as a physician in the State of Texas.

This position has a target base salary of $223,241 to $268,672 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
