We are seeking a Board-Certified Mohs Surgeon to join our practice in Bellaire, Texas. The Mohs Surgeon will provide comprehensive dermatologic and surgical care to pediatric and adult patients, with a primary focus on Mohs micrographic surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
The ideal candidate is clinically excellent, patient-centered, productive, collaborative, and interested in becoming a long-term member of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Mohs micrographic surgery for appropriate cutaneous malignancies.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with various skin cancers and dermatologic conditions.
Perform preoperative consultations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Perform dermatologic surgical procedures, biopsies, excisions, and other appropriate procedures.
Provide comprehensive patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, and follow-up care.
Collaborate with dermatologists, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, pathology professionals, and support staff.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
Stay current with advances in Mohs surgery, dermatologic surgery, oncology, and medical dermatology.
Contribute to practice growth, patient satisfaction, and a positive patient experience.
Required Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Dermatology Residency.
Board Certified in Mohs Surgery / Micrographic Surgery.
Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Demonstrated expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and treatment of skin cancers.
Strong knowledge of medical and surgical dermatology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative outpatient environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
Experience with complex skin cancer cases.
Experience with advanced reconstruction and repair techniques.
Experience with cosmetic dermatology is a plus.
Pediatric dermatology experience is beneficial.
Prior outpatient dermatology/Mohs practice experience.
Interest in long-term practice development and growth.
