Position: Pediatrics - Psychology  (Assistant Professor)

Position Overview

Immediate availability for an open‑rank neuropsychology faculty position specializing in Hematology/Oncology.

The neuropsychologist will join a team of dedicated neuropsychologists, pediatric psychologists, and psychology learners to provide evaluation and intervention services to patients at the Texas Children’s Cancer Center/Kinder Children’s Cancer Center located within the Texas Children’s Hospital Houston Medical Center Campus. Clinical services will primarily include targeted and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation, consultation, and limited inpatient evaluation. Consultation with multidisciplinary medical providers and learners is expected.

Training, innovation, program development, and clinical research are anticipated requirements of this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct targeted and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, consultations, and limited inpatient evaluations for pediatric cancer patients.
  • Consult with multidisciplinary medical providers and learners.
  • Teach and supervise neuropsychology post‑doctoral fellows in the APPCN‑member fellowship program and interns in the APA‑accredited internship program.
  • Contribute to the academic mission through independent and collaborative research and scholarship.
  • Engage in program development and innovation.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from an APA or CPA approved program.
  • Completion of an APA‑accredited psychology internship.
  • Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology that complies with APA Division 40 training guidelines.
  • Licensure or license‑eligibility in Texas.
  • ABCN board certification or ABCN board eligibility.
