Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Vascular Neurology Neuro Critical Care Intensivist– Medical Director Stroke Program to join our team located in Willowbrook, a rapidly growing area 28 miles north of downtown Houston. The physician will have primary responsibility in ICU care, trained in managing complex neurological illnesses and injuries. The candidate must be fellowship trained in neurocritical care, board certified/board eligible in neurocritical care, and either hold a Texas license or be in the process of obtaining one.
Job Description- Primary responsibility in ICU care, managing complex neurological illnesses and injuries.
- Provide inpatient neurological care, including ICU and IMU consultation services, with a focus on complex neurological and cerebrovascular conditions.
- Lead the Comprehensive Stroke Center, overseeing quality initiatives, accreditation standards, performance metrics, and program development.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for patient documentation and coordination.
- Board certified or board eligible in Neurology and Neurocritical Care.
- Comprehensive Stroke Center – Vascular fellowship preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing.
- Leadership experience preferred.
