The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care during overnight shifts, contributing to our mission of unparalleled safety, quality, service, and innovation. This position is vital in ensuring 24/7 care continuity for our patients and supporting Houston Methodist’s commitment to leading medicine.

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours, including admissions, consultations, and managing medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services, to deliver high-quality care.
• Ensure timely communication with patients, families, and referring physicians to facilitate care transitions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety measures, and hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with medical records and billing standards.
• Support the training and development of residents and medical students, as applicable.

• Education:
  
  Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Licensure/Certification:
  Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active Texas Medical License or eligibility for licensure in Texas.
• Experience:
  
  Prior experience in a hospitalist or nocturnist role preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage acute inpatient care efficiently.
• Skills:
  
  Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.

• Schedule:
  
  Full-time, 7-on/7-off Hospitalist schedule, 12-hour shifts.
