System Medical Director of Health & Occupational Medicine

Houston Methodist seeks a dedicated Medical Director to provide strategic direction and oversight of all occupational and employee health services across its 8 hospitals. In this role, you will cultivate strong relationships, serve as a medical leader liaison, and partner directly with the Director of Employee Health and Occupational Medicine to fulfill organizational goals. You will also collaborate with multiple mid-level providers to drive clinical excellence and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight of all occupational/employee health services for Houston Methodist's 8 hospitals
• Cultivate strong relationships and serve as the medical leader liaison offering hospital wide engagement and collaboration, visibility and opportunity to directly contribute to Houston Methodist's success
• Partner with Director of Employee Health and Occupational Medicine to fulfill the organization's goals and mission
• Collaborate with multiple mid-level providers

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school or college of osteopathy
• Current active TX state medical license in good standing or ability to quickly obtain
• Board Certification in Occupational Medicine
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of Occupational medicine
• A minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership successfully supervising medical, health and safety personnel in a healthcare/hospital Employee Health setting
