The Goddard School located in Houston (Energy Corridor), TX is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual for the role of Assistant Director. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of developmentally appropriate learning programs for young children. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of motivating and inspiring staff.

The assistant director's responsibilities include:

• Overseeing school operations, with a focus on educational programming, relationship building, faculty training & development, and quality assurance
• Applying a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop staff for future success
• Building strong relationships with families
• Managing the school budget
• Ensuring compliance with state childcare licensing regulations
• Maintaining a positive, energetic attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Exercising excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education

Qualifications:

• Associates of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Inspirational leadership and team-building abilities
• Proactive in building relationships with families and maintaining high enrollment
• Organized, strategic problem-solver with a positive attitude
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and improvement
