Overview
The Jones Graduate and Virani Undergraduate School of Business at Rice University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of accounting. The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor of Accounting and will begin on July 1, 2026. The successful candidate is expected to produce high-quality research in accounting that results in publications in top journals in the field and to effectively teach Undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. courses in accounting (and/or related fields).
Applicants should also have a commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive academic community.
- Develop and publish high-quality research in accounting leading to publication in top journals.
- Teach Undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. courses in accounting (and/or related fields).
- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive academic community.
- Applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in accounting or a related field by July 1 of the year employment commences.
- Experienced candidates may be considered for Assistant Professor
