School Psychologist – Houston, TX (Agency Position) Overview

Aequor is seeking a dedicated and student‑centered School Psychologist to support K–12 campuses across the Houston, TX area. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality psychological services, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success. The ideal candidate is flexible, knowledgeable about Texas education requirements, and comfortable working in diverse school environments.

• Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations in accordance with IDEA
  , Section 504
  , and Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines.
• Participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs.
• Provide direct and indirect services, including counseling, behavioral interventions, and consultation with teachers, administrators, and families.
• Support crisis intervention and response efforts as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with campus staff to promote positive learning environments and evidence‑based practices.
• Travel between assigned campuses within the Houston area (mileage reimbursement may be provided depending on agency policy).

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Valid Texas LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) credential required.
• Experience working in K–12 educational settings preferred.
• Strong understanding of assessment tools, MTSS/RTI frameworks, and behavioral supports.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with school teams.
• Employer: Contracted through an educational staffing agency.
• Compensation: 55+ dollars per hour
• Contract Type: School‑year contract with potential for renewal.
