The Part‑Time Tutor provides individualized and group instruction to students and community members needing assistance in assigned discipline(s) and study skills. Responsibilities include delivering tutoring services, maintaining a weekly schedule, keeping accurate records, and fostering an environment conducive to learning. This is a temporary, grant‑funded position; continuation depends on future grant funding.

• Demonstrated proficiency in the subject matter of the assigned discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Commitment to quality service for students.
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

The position is sedentary, requiring the employee to sit for most of the time. Occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving may be required. No special physical demands are necessary.

• Use of PC workstation within a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and general office equipment.
• Interfacing with internal and external contacts as needed.
• Work performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal safety hazards.
• Schedule varies by semester and may include evenings and weekends.

• High School Diploma or GED and Tutor Certification Level II.
• Transcripts and/or a proficiency test may be required.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.10
