1st -2nd Grade Math Professor

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in alignment with state standards and UPLIFT curriculum guidelines.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning, participation, and respect for diversity.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including English language learners, students with disabilities, and gifted learners.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools to facilitate student learning and achievement.
• Assess student progress and growth through formative and summative assessments, analyze data to inform instruction, and provide timely feedback to students.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and school events to enhance teaching practice and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Uphold high standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions with students, families, and staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, or related field (Master's degree preferred) or completion of an Alternative Certification program.
• Texas Teaching Certification in Mathematics or similar (or eligibility for certification).
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in ELAR at the elementary/middle/high school level.
• Knowledge of math curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices aligned with state standards (TEKS).
• Strong classroom management skills, with ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to effectively support the needs of diverse student populations.
• Proficiency in technology tools and platforms for instruction, assessment, and communication.
