The Electrical Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and laboratory instruction in electrical systems and related trade skills. This position prepares students for entry-level employment in the electrical field by providing instruction in theory, hands‑on skills, safety standards, and professional work practices in alignment with institutional, industry, and accrediting standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide classroom and hands‑on laboratory instruction in electrical systems, wiring methods, circuitry, tools, equipment, and trade practices
- Teach in accordance with approved curriculum, lesson plans, and course outlines
- Ensure instruction aligns with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and industry safety regulations, including OSHA requirements
- Demonstrate proper use of electrical tools, equipment, and materials
- Evaluate student performance through written exams, practical skill assessments, and competency check-offs
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in accordance with institutional policies
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and institutional events

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a recognized electrical training program or apprenticeship preferred
- Minimum of [3–5] years of documented industry experience in the electrical trade
- Teaching or training experience preferred
