Our client in South Houston is seeking a Learning & Development professional who can partner closely with leaders to identify performance gaps and deliver practical, high-impact training solutions. This role blends instructional design, facilitation, and program management and is ideal for someone who enjoys building training that actually sticks. You’ll work across departments, collaborate with subject matter experts, and ensure training programs are engaging, relevant, and aligned with real-world operations.

Responsiblities
  • Partner with department leaders to assess performance gaps and learning needs, and design targeted, ad hoc training solutions
  • Design, develop, and deliver employee safety and operational training using activity-based learning, self-paced modules, simulations, role plays, and blended learning approaches
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to develop relevant, practical training content
  • Serve as the training coordinator for the Learning Management System (LMS), including assigning training, generating reports, and maintaining training materials
  • Develop course materials such as user manuals, end-user guides, facilitation guides, SOPs, and training documentation
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve training programs to ensure effectiveness and engagement across different work environments
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience designing and delivering company-wide or operational training programs
  • Construction, industrial distribution, or homebuilding industries are preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • Experience working within a Learning & Development function
  • Strong instructional design background with confidence facilitating training in front of groups or classrooms
  • Proficiency in e-learning and blended learning methodologies
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and training development tools including Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and Vyond
