Responsibilities- Teaching
:
Demonstrate skill and/or knowledge in the teaching discipline; improve instructional quality through innovative methodologies; develop and use a syllabus for each course or laboratory; plan, develop, and use varied teaching methods and materials; evaluate student progress and keep records; review and select textbooks and learning materials; teach courses at various times/locations as needed; use equipment responsibly and assist with routine maintenance of instructional laboratories;
demonstrate competence with technology in the classroom and willingness to explore new instructional methodologies. - Advising
:
Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community; provide access to students through conferencing and electronic communication; offer advice on instructional or program-specific issues; present information about academic fields, opportunities, and services; work with the Chair on advising activities as needed. - Professional Development
:
Establish annual objectives for professional growth; stay current in the discipline; learn and apply technologies that support student learning; participate in the evaluation process for self, department, and college. - Institutional and Community Service
:
Maintain communication with leadership; support adjunct faculty; promote programming within the department, District, and larger community; participate in scheduled institutional service activities and meetings; adhere to policies and procedures; engage in college-related activities and accreditation-related tasks; contribute to departmental planning and budget priorities; review and revise curricula to meet professional standards and requirements, and assist in articulating courses with other institutions. - Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students; demonstrate self-discipline and effective management of others.
Education
Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in business is required. Graduate degree or graduate hours in Marketing preferred.
Experience
Three (3) years of work experience in Marketing. Two (2) semesters of college-level teaching experience preferred.

- Knowledge and skills in a variety of computer usage and software.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environment.
- Self-discipline and ability to effectively manage others.
