  • Deliver curriculum content effectively to Surgical Technology students, ensuring alignment with program objectives and industry standards.
  • Mentor students to develop technical skills, professional behavior, and ethical practices essential for success in the surgical technology field.
  • Utilize diverse teaching methods and instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and enhance student engagement.
  • Assess student performance through evaluations, assignments, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and academic achievements in compliance with institutional policies.
  • Stay current with advancements in surgical technology and integrate relevant updates into the curriculum to reflect industry trends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and program leadership to continuously improve course content and instructional methodologies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and mutual respect among students.
  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Credential from a nationally recognized and accredited credentialing agency.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience or teaching in the field, or a combination of both, within the last 5 years.
  • CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is mandatory.
  • 3+ years of professional experience working as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and mentor students in a professional and educational setting.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and professional ethics.
