Description and Responsibilities

  • The Young Adults Ministry Assistant Pastor will have the following characteristics:

  • Has strong gifts in the areas of teaching, evangelism, spiritual formation (discipleship), and has an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Shall continue to develop and grow a Gospel-centered, spiritually maturing, community of college students and young adults within the sphere of our church.
  • Is willing and even excited to make himself available to develop friendship and community with young adults and college students when they are available (e.g., early mornings before classes/work, evenings after classes/work, Sunday lunches after church, etc.)
  • Is the point person for teaching a weekly Sunday morning class for young adults and college students.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes ministry events and retreats aimed at nurturing Christian fellowship and discipleship among CPC’s young adults and college students. There will also be the opportunity to assist with planning, coordinating, and executing churchwide ministry events and retreats (e.g., Mo Ranch, Men’s Retreat, Mission’s Weekend, etc.)
  • Works with and supports other ministry staff on an ad hoc basis as required, which includes identifying and helping to realize synergies between Young Adults ministry and other CPC ministries.
  • Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings and other staff administrative responsibilities.
  • Reports directly to the Executive Director.
