PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The teaching faculty will provide learning activities, support, and develop courses within the curriculum to facilitate student learning.
- Teach Emergency Medical Services (EMS) courses at various times and locations.
- Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of material.
- Submit required college reports and forms timely.
- Utilize a course syllabus following institutional guidelines.
- Meet with and advise students through appointments, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
- Evaluate students to measure progress toward course objectives and inform them promptly.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Mastery of course content.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative, team-oriented style.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints and work effectively with a diverse group of people.

The role requires considerable physical exertion, including frequent climbing of tall ladders, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas, and defending oneself or others against physical attack.
Work Schedule and Conditions- Equipment: PC workstation using Microsoft Windows, calculator, phone, office equipment, and specialized equipment as required.
- Interactions with internal and external contacts as needed.
- Work performed in climate-controlled classroom or lab with typical safety hazards.
- Hours vary with class times; instructors must meet students at all scheduled times and be available outside instruction.
- Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Services or related field, or Bachelor's degree with 3 years of non‑teaching work experience in the field.
- Must be certified or registered as a Paramedic.
$55.44 per contact hour.
