Adjunct of Electrical Engineering Technology
Position Summary:
The College of Science and Engineering at Houston Christian University seeks adjunct faculty positions in Electrical Engineering Technology who are passionate about teaching in a Christian environment. Positions are open for classes beginning Fall 2026 or later.
Eligibility:
Adjunct faculty are hired on a part‑time, semester‑by‑semester basis. The university accepts applications year‑round from qualified applicants willing to teach part‑time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Teach basic or advanced courses in electrical engineering technology based on college needs and candidate qualifications.
- Utilize a course syllabus following departmental and institutional guidelines.
- Provide timely, quality access to students via electronic communication and other appropriate methods.
- Evaluate students by established means to measure progress toward course objectives and inform them in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Submit necessary paperwork and forms in a timely fashion.
- Be available to students outside of the classroom.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a master’s degree in a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours and teaching experience aligned with the discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
