Purpose:

Provide instructional leadership for the development, organization, supervision and evaluation of the summer school program. Assists the summer school principal in the overall implementation of the summer school program. Provides in-service for teachers from their campus.

Qualifications:

* Certified teacher

* Valid ESL Certification preferred

* Demonstrates instructional leadership and management skills

* Ability to work in a collaborative environment

* Excellent human relation skills

* Experience with administrative duties (budget, supervision, leadership, purchase requisitions, payroll, Etc.)

* Demonstrates a professional appearance and attitude

* Three years of teaching experience preferred

* Priority given to teachers at current campus

Elementary and ESL/Bilingual-16 days @ 8 hours a day + 6-hour In-service/workday X $40 per hour. This role will be split funded 68% Federal and 32% Local.

Only accepting and considering letters of interest from current Alief ISD employees. This position is split funded only for the  school year. Continuation of the position is contingent upon availability of funds. Current Alief ISD employees should submit a letter of interest to summer school principals.

Must have fulfilled  contract days before summer school pay initiates.

Double dipping is not permitted.

Many meetings during the months of March, April, and May will occur to plan for the Summer School program.

Length of employment:
June 2, 2026 - June 30, 2026

Workday/In-Service:
June 2 (6 Hours)

Week 1:
June 3-4

Week 2:
June 8-11

Week 3:
June 15-18

Week 4:
June 22-25

Week 5:
June 29-30

ESL PreK/K Staff Hours

7:45 am - 3:45 pm (8 hrs)

Salary : $40 per hour
