2026 Summer School Young Innovators Summer Academy Coordinator

Purpose:

Provide instructional leadership for the development, organization, supervision and evaluation of the Young Innovators' Summer Academy. Partner with SS coordinator and Central Office Leadership in the overall implementation of the Young Innovators' Summer Academy. Provides in-service for teachers from their campus.

Qualifications:

* Certified teacher

* Valid ESL Certification preferred

Skills:

* Demonstrates a professional appearance and attitude

* Demonstrates instructional leadership and management skills

* Ability to work in a collaborative environment

* Excellent human relation skills

Experience:

* Experience with administrative duties (budget, supervision, leadership, purchase requisitions, payroll, Etc.)

* 3 years classroom teaching experience preferred

* Priority given to teachers at current campus

Length of employment:
June 2, 2026 - June 30, 2026

Workday/In-Service:
June 2 (6 Hours)

Week 1:
June 3-4

Week 2:
June 8-11

Week 3:
June 15-18

Week 4:
June 22-25

Week 5:
June 29-30

Elementary School

Hours:

7:45 am
-1:15 pm (5 hrs & 30 min)

$40 per hour

Young Innovators' Summer Academy:

16 days @ 5 hours and 30 minutes per day + 6-hour in-service/workday X $40 per hour.

Notes:
Only accepting and considering applications from current Alief ISD employees. This position is funded only for the  school year. Continuation of the position is contingent upon availability of funds. This is a tentative assignment and will be based on student enrollment. Hiring administrators will review applications interview and recommend for hire.
