Primary PurposeThe multi-classroom leader facilitator (MCL‑F) coordinates the design and implementation of an Opportunity Culture Program on one or more campuses, leads a team of three or more multi‑classroom leaders, determines the OC‑TX model(s) that best address campus needs, establishes evaluative criteria to assess program effectiveness, monitors student data to inform decisions regarding campus design plans, coordinates collaboration among MCLs to guide instructional strategies, oversees the learning and development of all students within the OC‑TX program, prepares OC‑TX communication materials for staff, parents, and the campus community (subject to the principal’s approval).
Qualifications/ Skills
- Education / Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or an out‑of‑state teaching certificate that meets state requirements.
- Certification must satisfy federal and/or state law requirements for this position.
- Special Knowledge / Skills
- Knowledge of instructional planning and delivery.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to identify instructional strategies and models that correlate to increased student achievement.
- Ability to analyze data, identify growth areas, and implement strategies or models that drive student achievement.
- Proficiency in the effective use of technology.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Prior evidence of student achievement in relevant subjects (top 25% compared to other teachers on state or national tests) or superior prior academic achievements and influence skills indicating high potential to perform at this level.
- Experience
- Experience successfully leading and managing a team of adults to accomplish goals.
- Five (5) years of teaching experience required.
- Experience as an OC‑TX MCL preferred.
- Planning and Preparation
- Collaborate with campus leadership to set high, ambitious, and measurable expectations for OC‑TX on the campus(s).
- Model methods and create instructional tools and materials that teachers use in classrooms.
- Coach verbally and with tools to clarify content and teaching processes.
- Lead MCL team(s) to analyze data and identify instructional strategies that correlate with high achievement.
- Schedule regular individual and group planning sessions with campus OC‑TX staff.
- Pull assessment data after formative and summative assessments for teachers to analyze and plan instruction and interventions.
- Survey teacher pedagogical capacity and create action plans for teacher implementation of best practices.
- Model lessons, observe teachers, and coach on next steps of implementation.
- School(s) Environment
- Lead MCL team(s) to hold OC‑TX EITs accountable for high student achievement.
- Create a school‑wide knowledge‑base for the OC‑TX program.
- Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm, rapport, and digital citizenship among MCLs.
- Coach MCLs on the management of student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
- Instruction
- Hold students accountable for ambitious, measurable academic standards.
- Coach teachers on addressing individual students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Coach teachers on developing organizational and time‑management skills.
- Incorporate small‑group and individual instruction to personalize learning, including working with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed per IEP guidelines.
- Incorporate technology to differentiate instruction and enhance learning.
- Monitor and analyze assessment data to inform instruction.
