Role And PurposeThe Campus Instructional Acceleration Facilitator is a dynamic instructional leader who drives campus-wide improvement in teaching and learning. This role focuses on increasing student achievement in EOC-tested content areas by partnering closely with campus leadership and teachers to ensure high-quality instruction in every classroom.
As a key member of the instructional leadership team, the facilitator supports educators through lesson internalization, modeling effective instructional practices, and providing targeted coaching that builds teacher capacity and confidence. This role is ideal for an educator passionate about developing others, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring all students have access to rigorous, engaging learning experiences.
The facilitator equips teachers with research-based strategies by strengthening content knowledge, refining instructional practices, and supporting students through productive struggle. They lead data-driven conversations, promote effective use of formative assessment, and design meaningful professional learning. Through leading PLCs, coaching individuals and teams, and supporting implementation of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), the facilitator plays a critical role in accelerating student learning and closing achievement gaps.
Ultimately, this role centers on impact developing teacher expertise, strengthening instruction, and driving measurable gains in student success on EOC assessments and beyond.
Education / Certification- Bachelor's Degree required
- Valid Teaching certification required
- Generalist and/or concentration in Math or Reading/ELA
- Three years of teaching experience with an emphasis in literacy or mathematics preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deeply understand a year-long scope, sequence, and content area assigned
- Knowledge in leading professional development to adult learners in a PLC setting, including how to lead teachers to internalize a lesson
- Demonstrated ability to model teach for others and coach others to improve their teaching in the classroom
- Demonstrated strong content knowledge in either literacy or mathematics
- Demonstrated ability to lead students through the productive struggle in the classroom
- Evaluation and analysis of assessment and accountability data
- Development and delivery of professional development to adult learners
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to work as a teacher leader
I. Instructional Support
- Teach a minimum of two classes to provide and model instructional delivery to grade-level teachers
- Ensure classroom instruction aligns with the pacing of the district curriculum to support modeling and coaching for other teachers
- Strengthen and deepen content knowledge and coaching skills
Instructional Leadership and Professional Learning
- Lead teachers in PLC and lesson internalization process to improve student outcomes
- Represent the district's instructional philosophy in all aspects of the position, including professional development, coaching, and curriculum support
- Provide focused, sustained training that assists teachers in meeting data-driven, collaboratively determined instructional goals in content and program areas
- Provide content area expertise to improve instructional practices
- Use data to assist action/improvement plan development
- Utilize campus data to make informed decisions regarding focus and content of professional development
- Lead data-driven instruction meetings with teachers
- Facilitate a variety of formative assessment methods for data-driven instruction
- Facilitate use of research-based content resources
Content Coaching
- Observe teachers on a continuous coaching cycle to support the identification of a high-leverage improvement area for teachers to improve
- Model for teachers' effective pedagogy and delivery of instruction in targeted areas
- Deliver demonstration lessons
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding content and best practices as it relates to instructional delivery
- Utilize strategies to include, but not limited to, instructional models, resources, and coaching to deepen instructional practices that support teaching and learning
