The Center for Student Empowerment seeks professionals dedicated to student affairs work, including individualized student support, case management, resource referral, and student-focused programming. Develops and manages innovative services designed to assist students with medical, psychological, psychiatric, social, financial and academic needs.
The Center for Student Empowerment (CSE) at the University of Houston is dedicated to fostering student success through advocacy, support, and academic engagement opportunities that empower students to thrive both academically and personally. CSE serves students by connecting students with campus and community resources, providing individualized support, and creating programs that promote leadership development, community, and holistic well-being.
The Case Management team works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners to assist students experiencing barriers that may impact their academic progress and overall success. Through assessment, intervention, resource coordination, and ongoing support, the team helps students create action plans to reach their personal, financial, academic and leadership goals. Our work is grounded in a student-centered approach that emphasizes care, empowerment, and access to network of campus resources.

Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications: Candidates with a background in social work, counseling, or a related helping profession (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or similar) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
Minimum QualificationsMQ:
Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master’s degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
Requires technical certification or licensing directly related to the job, as specified on a job description addendum.
