TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF AVIATION SCIENCE MANAGEMENT

The College of Science Engineering and Technology at Texas Southern University is accepting applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Aviation Science Management, who is competent in instructing students with an active research agenda. This is a 9‑month tenure track position with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Aviation Science.
• Conduct research that is presentable at professional academic conferences and acceptable for publication in refereed academic journals.
• Participate actively in departmental, school and university committees.
• Provide service to one’s profession and the surrounding community.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Education: Ph.D. in Aviation Management/Related Field from a regionally accredited university or an Aviation Degree with a minimum of fifteen years of aviation industry experience.

Required Licensing/Certification: Pilot Certifications preferred.

Work Experience: Supplemental field experience in Airport and/or Airline Management. Active research agenda as evidenced by refereed journal publication(s) at time of hire.

Full Time Equivalent: 1.0

Salary Range: $57,600.00 – $74,880.00
