The Department of History at the University of Houston invites applications for part-time, temporary Lecturer positions to teach lower-division core courses, especially the US History survey sequence, or other undergraduate History courses on an as-needed basis. Courses may be offered in various formats, including online or in-person instruction. Appointments will be made on a semester-by-semester basis, based on student need. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply.

Qualifications: A Master’s degree in History is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in History or a closely related discipline. Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidates. All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
