Position OverviewWe are seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and engaging Mat Pilates and Yoga instructors to join our campus fitness program. Instructors will lead safe, inclusive, and motivating classes for students, faculty, and staff. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mindful movement and helping participants build strength, flexibility, and confidence.
In addition to weekly classes, instructors may have opportunities to lead special workshops and pop‑up classes throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities- Teach 2–4 Mat Pilates and/or Yoga classes per week between 12 PM – 8 PM, Monday–Thursday
- Deliver well‑structured, safe, and creative classes suitable for all levels
- Provide clear instruction, thoughtful sequencing, and effective cueing
- Offer modifications and progressions to accommodate diverse abilities
- Create a welcoming, supportive class environment
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
- Prepare studio space, set up equipment, and ensure cleanliness after use
- Communicate scheduling needs and availability in advance
- Positively represent the campus fitness and wellness program
- Certification in Mat Pilates
, Yoga (200‑hour minimum), or both - CPR/AED certification required or willingness to obtain
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to participant safety, inclusivity, and effective instruction
- Classes run according to the campus academic calendar
