Instructor – Child Development (Adjunct)

Location:

Houston, Texas – System wide across multiple sites.

• Teach child development courses, including day, evening, or weekend sessions, at various campus locations.
• Inspire and motivate students within a learning‑centered environment.
• Effectively manage instructional activities and support collaborative teaching initiatives.
• Utilize a variety of computer applications and software to support course delivery.

• Education: High‑school diploma or GED required;
  Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 36 months of recent experience working directly with young children in children’s program settings.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Willingness and ability to teach at multiple sites around the city.
  • Competence with computer usage and relevant software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio‑economic, cultural, ethnic backgrounds and those with disabilities.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning‑centered environment.
  • Self‑discipline and the ability to manage others.
