Instructor – Child Development (Adjunct)
Location:
Houston, Texas – System wide across multiple sites.
- Teach child development courses, including day, evening, or weekend sessions, at various campus locations.
- Inspire and motivate students within a learning‑centered environment.
- Effectively manage instructional activities and support collaborative teaching initiatives.
- Utilize a variety of computer applications and software to support course delivery.
- Education: High‑school diploma or GED required;
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Experience: Minimum 36 months of recent experience working directly with young children in children’s program settings.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a diverse environment.
- Willingness and ability to teach at multiple sites around the city.
- Competence with computer usage and relevant software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio‑economic, cultural, ethnic backgrounds and those with disabilities.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning‑centered environment.
- Self‑discipline and the ability to manage others.
