Position Overview
The Department of Accountancy & Taxation in the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston seeks qualified applicants for a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track Professor of Practice starting Fall 2026. Salary is competitive with the market.
Responsibilities- Teaching excellence across undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Curriculum development and course design.
- Community engagement and professional development activities.
- Ph.D. in Accounting or a Master’s degree with substantial professional experience in the field.
- Strong background in tax, audit, and oil & gas accounting.
- Professional certification is a plus.
The department is accredited by AACSB and recognized as a Center of Excellence by the Institute of Internal Auditors. Faculty appointments provide competitive compensation and support for teaching and research responsibilities.
