Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Aviation Science Management

The College of Science Engineering and Technology at Texas Southern University is accepting applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Aviation Science Management who is competent in instructing students with an active research agenda. The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree (Ph.D.) with an emphasis in Aviation Management from a regionally accredited university, or the appropriate industry experience as outlined below.

This is a 9‑month tenure‑track position with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Aviation Science
• Conduct research that is presentable at professional academic conferences and acceptable for publication in referred academic journals
• Active participation in departmental, school and university committees
• Service to one’s profession and the surrounding community
• Advise and mentor students
• Other job‑related duties as assigned

FTE: 1.0

Hiring Range: $57,600.00 - $74,880.00

Ph.D. in Aviation Management/Related Field from a regionally accredited university or Aviation Degree with a minimum of fifteen years of aviation industry experience.

Pilot Certifications preferred.
