Instructional Aide (Physical Education)
Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher.
Education:
Associate's degree or two years of study (60 college hours) at an institute of higher learning

- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Equipment Used:
Sporting equipment, Computer with software, printer, calculator, copier, facsimile machine, overhead projector, and other specialized equipment that is particularly unique to the teaching assignment.
Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures, and data; coordinate district functions; maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruption
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent district-wide travel; occasional regional and state-wide travel; work indoors and outdoors to conduct on-site inspections of stadium, field examinations and visits to sites and schools; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; steady phone interactions; frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and minor lifting, and carrying small stacks of textbooks, media or athletic equipment, desks, and other classroom or athletic equipment;
may have exposure to biological hazards; occasional moderate lifting.

Bob Hope School is a growing open-enrollment public charter school (non-profit) providing parents a choice in their child's education. Bob Hope Elementary is a Montessori / Dual-Language campus. Instruction is conducted in a two-way immersion program, where teachers fluent in English teach ELA and those fluent in Spanish teach SLA and are supported by teacher aides with a strong command of both languages.
