Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university;
- Valid Texas teaching certificate;
- Minimum of four (5) years of successful experience as a secondary teacher in a career & technical education field;
- Preference is given to applicants with experience in providing staff development and/or holding a teacher leadership position;
- Demonstrated:
- Commitment to life‑long learning that supports high‑quality first‑time instruction, including the use of technology;
- Ability to develop and write curriculum;
- Ability to lead professional learning;
- Ability to manage data;
- Demonstrated skills in leading, motivating, and cooperating with other teachers, campus administrators, and district personnel.

$67,640/IA-3
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year
Essential Functions- Work with the CTE curriculum administrators to provide staff development sessions and model lessons, and assist teachers as they work to integrate college & career readiness standards into career & technical education classrooms.
- Work with CTE teachers to create lessons that align with industry standards with the goal of increasing access for ALL students to industry certification/credentials.
- Work with CTE curriculum administrators and teachers to ensure programs meet federal, state, and/or industry requirements.
- Mentor new and/or struggling teachers while supporting experienced teachers as they work to raise their level of technology integration.
- Observe and provide feedback to teachers regarding their instructional practices and strategies, when necessary provide staff development in the form of peer coaching.
- Work with CTE curriculum administrators and teachers to ensure equipment is operational and utilized safely and in accordance with industry standards.
- Communicate with CTE curriculum administrators to ensure that material/resource support and future staff development initiatives address identified needs.
- Research effective strategies and best practices within the context of career & technical education, especially as it relates to meeting the needs of special populations.
- Participate in trainer‑of‑trainers staff development opportunities as they arise to support, facilitate, and deliver professional development sessions.
- Assume a leadership role in special projects as they arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned by CTE curriculum administrators.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
