Transfer Partnerships Manager
Oversee, facilitate, and coordinate partnerships between HCC and other institutions of higher education to enhance transfer opportunities for academic programs. This role involves maintaining relationships with external academic institutions, ensuring alignment of goals and fostering opportunities for student success.
Essential Functions
- Facilitate agreements with all state universities and others as appropriate on joint admission, transfer student admission, and program articulation.
- Facilitate inter-institution planning and coordination meetings among faculty, providing guidance on course transfer guidelines.
- Provide leadership in activities related to SACSCOC compliance around transfer issues.
- Collaborate with Office of Alumni Affairs, Career and Transfer Services to ensure program information accuracy and coordinate student recruitment events.
- Research and verify accreditation of Universities, Colleges and Schools required by SACSCOC as part of transfer development process.
- Maintain and update all articulation agreements.
- Create and maintain a database of course equivalencies, core curriculum, field of study, and other degree plans between HCC and all state universities and others as appropriate.
- Conduct analysis of transfer partnership efficacy through examination of transfer success.
- Evaluate annual course transfer data to identify issues that may impact transferability.
- Serve as the primary district contact for transfer-related issues.
- Provide supervision and direction of assigned personnel, to include orientation, training, performance appraisal, coaching and professional development.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive HCC web site for HCC transfer students and for HCC faculty advisers (including information on testing, the Texas Success Initiative, developmental education, course descriptions, course prerequisites, degree plans, transfer opportunities, etc.) in collaboration with the Student Service department and the Curriculum Department.
- Stay informed about state and institutional admission, completion, and transfer requirements, as well as evolving university program curricula and degree requirements
- Develop and maintain current transfer guidelines that can be used by faculty and staff to find answers to basic transfer questions.
- Assist with policy development and evaluation in the transfer areas related to curriculum and degree and certificate requirements
- Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Education or Workforce Occupational field required
- Master's degree preferred
- 5 years' work experience in program management and experience in advising, transfer or career counseling services at 2-yr or 4-yr higher educational institution
Licensing & Certification
- Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
- General office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner.
