Primary
Purpose:
The ARD Facilitator is responsible for implementing the Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) / Individual Educational Plan (IEP) process, supporting parents, Case Managers, Department Chairs and Team Leaders in Special Services to provide the most appropriate instructional programs for students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment.

QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years of teaching experience with students who have diverse learning needs.
Preferred:
- Valid Texas teacher certificate with Special Education Certification.
- Educational Diagnostician Certificate or LSSP licensure.
- Three (3) years of experience conducting ARD / IEP meetings.
- Three (3) years of experience completing ARD / IEP documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of special education legal and procedural requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of the ARD process, including parent/advocate relations.
- Extensive knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and Section 504 laws.
- Skill in coaching and supporting counselors, teachers, and administrators.
- Ability to manage student information, ARD management systems, and PEIMS compliance.
- Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Effective verbal and written communication using tact and diplomacy.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.
IEP Management
- Conduct ARD committee meetings and manage ARD paperwork using the district’s special education IEP program.
- Provide staff development training to assigned schools on ARD decision making, state assessment, ESY eligibility, services, and data collection.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead, Department Chair, Case Managers, and campus administrators to support IEP implementation.
- Perform ongoing folder reviews to ensure ARD and eligibility folders meet RDA program review standards.
- Lead and supervise the ARD/IEP process in compliance with district policies.
- Collaborate with campus coordinator on state assessment for students with disabilities.

Communication
- Promote communication with parents and the community regarding district mission and services.
- Facilitate collaborative communication with administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and community.

Policy, Reports, and Law
- Comply with all federal and state laws, Board of Education rules, and local policies.
- Compile, maintain, and file required reports and documents.
- Maintain confidentiality according to FERPA.
Other
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
- Attend professional growth activities to stay current in special education, ARD/IEP, and technology integration.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
