Description:
The Curriculum and Instruction Department in the College of Education at the University of Houston offers a broad rangeofundergraduate and graduate-level courses in education across multiple content areas, including social studies and socialeducation, and occasionally has openings for part-time Lecturers.
Interested and qualified candidates with experience in social studies/social education are invited to apply to be considered forthese temporary, part-time positions.
Lecturer appointments are made on a semester basis.
The minimum qualification of the successful candidate is a M.Ed.degree in a closely related field. A doctorate in a related fieldand relevant teaching experience are preferred.
Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidates. All positions at the University of Houston-System are securitysensitive and will require a criminal history check.
