Team

We are currently seeking a Geology Instructor to advance the institution’s tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service. You will teach students about Geology, establish courses following best‑practice educational standards, use diverse effective methodologies, provide engagement and support activities. When not teaching, you may assist students with work opportunities, evaluate program curricula, advise declared majors, or review textbooks and learning materials.

Education

Must have completed at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in Geology and hold a Master’s degree (official transcripts required with application).

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of college‑level teaching experience preferred.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Must be willing and able to teach day or evening classes at multiple campuses.

Must have knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software, including Blackboard Vista or similar online software.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse professional, community and student populations.

Good organizational and planning skills.

Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio‑economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and to students with disabilities.

Ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning‑centered environment.

Self‑disciplined and able to effectively manage others.
