Pay Grade: IS02

Reports To: Principal

Qualifications:

• College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the Para Pro test
• College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus
• Knowledge of filing system
• Good physical condition
• Enthusiasm for sports
• General office skills
• General office machines including computer
• Ability to work with children
• Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed
• Please Note: Additional Qualification for Title I Campus:

Primary

Purpose:

Assist the physical education teacher with instructional needs as appropriate for the grade and subject area.

• Assist in instructional activities: exercising, demonstrating games, and monitoring children.
• Organize equipment needed for daily activities.
• Perform secretarial duties for the P.E. department: typing, filing, grading, and recording tests.
• Keep bulletin boards up‑dated.
• Monitor locker room before and after class.
• Assist with up‑dating grade books, recording roll, recording scores, and discipline marks.
• Bus duty before and/or after school.
• Supervise students when assigned.

Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
