Position: Teacher
Reports To: Principal
Position Type: 10-month
Start Date: 26-27 School Year
Compensation: Starting at $62,500 annually (Teacher Incentive Allotment eligible).
Course: TIA teachers can earn up to $102,800.
In a Teacher Incentive Allotment eligible district, teachers can earn additional stipends based on performance. A TIA‑designated teacher could earn the following:
- 1 year of experience: $91,800
- 5 years of experience: $96,800
- 10 years of experience: $99,800
- 15 years of experience: $102,800

The Role- Develop rigorous lessons in your specific content area, in 1:1 blended learning environments, to reignite students for college and beyond while bridging gaps for marginalized communities.
- Set ambitious goals with your students and monitor progress while encouraging them through frequent, persistent feedback.
- Track student growth and use data and feedback from coaches to create student growth plans when needed.
- Build transformable relationships with students and families by providing regular, consistent communication with parents via phone, video conference, email, or district‑approved website.
- Create a physical or virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students’ physical, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with co‑planner to work through daily lesson plans and add resources when needed.
- Meet regular deadlines for daily lesson plans, submitting grades, and work samples.
- Work with a team of teachers and leaders to provide consistency, support, and accountability to all students.
- Work with content teams in Professional Development to norm on and improve student learning.
- Conduct weekly tutorials outside of regular class day to provide additional instruction and support.
- Complete supervision duties on campus that support student safety, including morning, lunch, dismissal, detention, and after school duty.
- Grow professionally by receiving and giving feedback consistently from DOI, School Leader, and Administration Team.
- Persist in the face of challenges, learn from mistakes, and set a strong example of character for students.
- Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing to confer with campus leaders, collaborators, students, and/or parents.
- Provide personal care services as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Must Haves- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
- Texas Educator Certification, or willing to join ACP to get certified.
- Strong ability to navigate web‑related applications and technology.
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms.
