Music Teachers – Houston Conservatory of Music We are launching Houston Conservatory of Music at 550 Heights Boulevard, Houston TX 77007, and we are looking for highly qualified professional musicians to join our faculty!

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Music Performance or Music Education
• Teaching experience preferred
• Professional & reliable

Path to full-time position (40+ hrs/week) as your schedule fills

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge, with the ability to teach core concepts clearly and progressively.
• Demonstrated excellence in Music Performance on at least one primary instrument, ideally including Piano or another instrument offered by the conservatory.
• Background in Music Education, including experience teaching diverse age groups and levels in private and group settings.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Performance, Music Education, or a closely related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Effective classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development skills, with a student-centered teaching philosophy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful, and encouraging learning environment.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues on ensembles, recitals, and special programs, and to support the conservatory’s mission and community engagement.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include afternoons, evenings, and weekends to meet student needs and program demands.
