Qualifications/ Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or appropriate out‑of‑state Teaching Certificate.
- Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position as required by Federal and/or State law.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the effective use of technology.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction; develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the district's curriculum program and provide written evidence of preparation as required.
- Prepare lessons with accommodations for differences in student learning styles and present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.
- Conduct assessments of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities. Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for special education students as per IEP guidelines.
- Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements; plan and supervise assignments of teacher aides and volunteers; use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
