Elementary Reading & Math Tutors (Grades 3–5)
School: Mission Bend Elementary – Fort Bend ISD

Schedule:
Three days per week
Time: 3:15–5:15 PM

Compensation:
$20–$27 per hour (based on experience)

2 Math Tutors (Grades 3–5)
Total positions: 4

Mission Bend Elementary is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to provide small-group academic support in reading and math for students in grades 3–5. Tutors will work closely with students to reinforce grade‑level skills, build confidence, and support academic growth in a structured after‑school setting.

Provide small‑group instruction in reading or math aligned with grade‑level standards

Support skill development through targeted practice and guided instruction

Assist students with comprehension, fluency, problem‑solving, and foundational math skills

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed

Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment

Collaborate with school staff as needed to support student success

Minimum 1 year of experience working with elementary‑aged students in a classroom, tutoring, or academic support setting

Experience with
reading intervention and/or math instruction for grades 3–5 preferred

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Ability to work effectively with small groups

Dependable, professional, and student‑focused

Familiarity with elementary curriculum and instructional strategies

Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children

Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
