Position: Aide (Non-Instructional)
Primary

Purpose:

To provide additional support for center-based operations. Duties and tasks based on newly established practices and processes created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

* High school diploma or GED certificate

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to interact with diverse populations

* Ability to identify and solve problems

* Ability to work cohesively with center staff

* Ability to effectively assist with a variety of center-based non-instructional tasks

Experience:

* Experience working in childcare settings with children ages 0-5

* Experience working in an Early Head Start or Head Start program preferred

Major

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Model HCDE and Head Start's mission, vision, and values.

* Comply with all state and federal laws and department and center policies and procedures.

* Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integration and consistent delivery of all Head Start services.

* Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and staff information.

* Ensure adequate supervision of students to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students.

* Support center personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the center.

* Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

* Cooperate with all center and department personnel.

* Perform other duties as assigned.
