The Honors College at the University of Houston is hiring apart-time Lecturer to teach in its Human Situation sequence.

Applications are sought from teaching faculty in arts, humanities,and qualitative social sciences, especially those who have taughtcore texts and major works using a great books approach.
Responsibilities will include holding two office hours weekly tosupport student learning and address course-related questions,utilizing the university's learning management system (Canvas) topost course materials, assignments, and grades in a timely manner.
The application review begins immediately and will continue until adecision on the position has been made.
Qualifications- PhD Required
- Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment andwill be requested upon selection of the final candidates.
- All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
- Individuals conducting research in critical infrastructure areas (i.e.,communication infrastructure systems, cybersecurity systems,electric grid, hazardous waste treatment systems, and/or water treatment facilities) are subject to regular review to ensure the security and integrity of the research is maintained.
