The Department of History at the University of Houston invites applications for part-time, temporary, Lecturer positions to teach lower-division core courses, especially the US History survey sequence, or other undergraduate History courses on an as-needed basis. Courses may be offered in various formats, including onlineor in-person instruction. Appointments will be made on asemester-by-semester basis, based on student need. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply.

QualificationsA Master’s degree in History is required. Preference will be givento candidates with a Ph.D. in History or a closely related discipline.
